Summer Activities
During the summer months, activities are arranged by the Forth Valley U3A committee. These might be visits to art galleries, public buildings, gardens, concerts, festivals or theatres. Transport is arranged as necessary.
In June 2007 we held our first Study Day on the topic Creating a Healthy Environment at the Smith Museum and Art Gallery, Stirling.
Summer Programme 2011
Wednesday 8 June
Visit to National Gallery of Scotland, Edinburgh, to view the Renaissance paintings.
Tuesday 12 July
Summer Lunch at The Orangery Tearoom, Hopetoun, 12 noon.
Thursday 14 July
Visit to new Riverside Museum, Glasgow (replacing the old Transport Museum), followed by a visit to Erskine Home for Veterans. Lunch at the Vanishing Willows (cafe and garden centre with gift shop), followed by a visit to see the excellent provision offered to our wounded military veterans.
Thursday 11 August
Visit to Pittenweem Arts Festival.
